“The huddle & bliss concept has evolved over the last few years since I had children. Early in 2007 I decided it was the right time to take things forward. My eldest son was settled at school and my youngest son at nursery several days a week, so I had a bit more time to focus my ideas. The name ‘huddle & bliss’ is taken from the words my husband David uses when he is snuggling up with our two boys. Instead of a ‘kiss and a cuddle’ they have a ‘huddle and a bliss’. We had spent an entire night brainstorming and when the name popped into my mind I just knew it was right!

The name ‘huddle & bliss’ now has an additional meaning to my husbands words – I constantly now use it as an adjective to describe whether or not items fit into our selections and ranges. If it is not ‘huddle & bliss’ it doesn’t get in. When shopping for my boys I grew very quickly tired of the garish colours, slogans and poor fabrics often used for children’s clothing and bed linen. In particular, all children should love their bedroom but it should also be a calm and relaxing place for them to unwind and sleep at the end of the day. It is difficult to achieve this with superheros plastered everywhere! I suppose you could sum up ‘ huddle & bliss’ in terms of comfort…but with style! Like being huddled up on the sofa with your loved one’s on a winter’s afternoon in your comfy clothes watching a classic film! Pure bliss!

Where at all possible my products are manufactured in England and I use small local businesses to provide the services that my business needs. I am passionate about supporting what is left of our manufacturing industry and believe that the words ‘Made in England’ still mean a lot to many people.

I would like to thank everyone around me who has helped huddle & bliss become reality, in particular my husband David and stepdaughter and colleague Kelly. Without them it would not have been possible.

Our aim is to create a stylish online boutique offering beautifully-made and traditional goods, the majority of which are Made in England and hand-finished in our own workshop. Our premium products are simple, elegant and understated and arrive beautifully wrapped in our signature packaging. All our efforts ensure you will be delighted with your purchase.

huddle & bli ss is for all your special people, be they babies, children, parents, family or friends. We place particular emphasis on mums-to-be, new parents and their little ones and much of our range is designed with them in mind. We give you the opportunity to lavish those closest to you with that special and indulgent gift!

24/7, with a few clicks of your mouse you can access the full huddle & bliss range. Many items from our clothing and bed linen ranges can be embroidered with a name, adding that extra touch of individuality. Children in particular love personalised gifts and their excitement at seeing their name on their duvet cover or pyjamas is magical! We have sourced fair trade and organic products where possible, particularly within our baby clothing and toiletry ranges. Our exclusive range of Organic Made in England products for mums and children has proved extremely popular. As has our unique huddle & bliss 48 hour mama & baby bag.

All our products have been road-tested to the max by us and our own children who are all under six. In fact many of our ideas have come directly from our own experiences or the imagination of our children, and there is a personal story behind some of the products. Our team is made up of working parents who understand the demands of a hectic family and business life. We do our best to understand and give our staff a good family/work balance and address the specific balancing act that many working parents face from time to time with conflicts in commitments.

Where possible we source goods that are Made in England and we are very keen to support local businesses through either our manufacturing needs or other support services.
